Snowdonia Holiday Cottages Video Gallery

When you visit the Snowdonia National Park staying in a well-equipped, beautiful cottage is important, but another important consideration is location.  When you book your cottage break with Snowdonia Holiday Cottages, you can be assured that you are going to be perfectly located for all of the most beautiful scenery, excellent walks and popular attractions.

For instance the route to Barmouth's famous Panoramic Walk starts on National Trust land just behind The Studio and Seaview Trail.  It takes less than five minutes to get started on this walk.  In addition, the Blue Flag beach at Barmouth is again just five minutes’ walk from the front of Studio and Seaview Trail.   Both attractions are a short drive from the other cottages which are all located in the Northern and arguably the most beautiful part of the Snowdonia National Park.  Swallow Falls, Betws-y-Coed is just 8.5 miles from Bryn Golan cottages and the Lake featured in the fly fishing video is a short drive away from Woodcutter’s Cottage, Coed-y-Brenin.html and around 8 miles drive from Barmouth.

For those interested in visiting the Blue Lake, you can either walk over famous railway bridge at Barmouth or drive from any of the cottages through the village of Arthog and then onto Friog where the Blue Lake can be approached via a National Trust footpath.

Another point of interest for nature lovers are the seals and dolphins that frequent Cardigan Bay. Our guests often report sightings mostly from the local beaches.

The video of mountain biking in the Coed-y-Brenin Forest illustrates the challenges of one of the best and largest mountain biking centres in Europe. Please be assured that there are lots of gentler routes within the 9,000 acre forest to practice on before attempting 'The Beast'. Also there are several outlets for mountain bike hire with day rates starting at just 12.50, and higher spec. bikes costing 25.00 per day. Coed-y-Brenin mountain bike centre is just five minutes' drive from Woodcutter's and the forest itself is directly opposite Woodcutter's and within 3 minutes walking distance. Please note for those wishing to bring their own mountain bikes we can provide secure storage within a double locked garage.

If you aren't too scared of heights then a great family day out is the High Ropes adventure with the course being the highest in the UK! There are two centres one is close to Ty Nant and Lake View Barn, Bala, whilst the other is less challenging and located minutes away from Woodcutters.

We added the Batala Bermo band as they are one of the many quirky and fun aspects of Barmouth. They appear at many of our key events, like the bonfire on the beach (Early November) but they can often be seen practicing throughout the year when they are not touring (The row of four town houses on the hill at the back is where The Studio is located).

We hope that you like our video gallery and hope that you check back as we will be adding more videos throughout the year.
